Looking for descendants and any information regarding Philip Rader, son
of Johann Gasper Rotter (Casper Rader) and Regina Gernhardt. Born in PA,
moved to Wythe Co., VA. Married Rebecca Cress (daughter of Jacob Cress and
Elizabeth Fickus), died approx 1811 in OH. Had four children, no info on
them. Philip married Elizabeth Sidden (daughter of John and Elizabeth
Sidden) in OH 1812. 6 children: Cynthia 1812(m. Elisha Julien); Henrietta
1818 (m. Joseph Fentress/Fenters); Mary 1820 (m. Wm N. Pearson); Catherine
1822 (m. David C. Jenkins); Philip Jr. 1824 (m. Margaret Stradley);
Christine Bethany 1826 (m. Jacob Stevens). Philip then married Catherine
Sheets (Mrs. George Knox) who had 6 children: Nancy, Sarah, Susie, John,
Rebecca, Mary. Philip & Catherine had 6 children: Andrew W. 1828, David
1831, Barbara 1832 (m. Adam Rudy), Eliza J 1833 (m. Aaron Ball), Henry C.
1836, Julia Ann (m. Oliver J. Garriott). The family moved from OH to Akron,
Fulton Co, IN. Philip Jr. is my ggg grandfather. Any information would be

Looking for ancestors to John Rader, b abt 1750 VA,
lived as adult in Adams County, Ohio.
At least three sons were with him in Ohio: John, Adam, and
Andrew Rader,
all born about 1790-1800 in (Virginia as near as I can
tell).
John Sr's son Andrew Rader moved from Ohio to Indiana some
time between
1820 and 1830. Family lore has it that Andrew died in a
blizzard in 1834.
Andrew's wife, Fanny, remarried 1834 in Warren Co., IN. All
the children
went by the name Rater for some reason....and that remains
true of
Andrew's descendants to this day. Another goal is to
determine maiden
name of Andrew's wife, Fanny (presumedly nickname for
Francis). My web

I am trying to determine the ancestors of my William
Nicholas.
It appears he may have been a brother of a Barbara Nicholas.
She married a Reubin Rader. He was born 1795 in Virginia and
she was born 1796 in Virginia. My William was born 1809 in
Virginia.
Both families were living very close to each other in 1830
and 1840 in
Highland Township, Vermillion County, Indiana. Malinda and
Delilah Rader,
daughers of RR & BN were both married in Vermillion County,
Indiana.
There appear to be two sets of Reuben Raders and Barbara
Nicholas listed
on the Mormon website. The two in Vermillion County, IN, who
were born
1795 and 1796 and then another pair, Reuben Rader and
Barbara Nicholas,
who are listed as born about 1754 - 1780 time period. I am
trying to
determine where in Virginia these people were from. I
believe a Senior
William Nicholas probably was the father of both Barabara,
born 1795, and
William (jr) born 1809 in Virginia. I cannot tie the Senior
William Nicholas to
a particular census record in Virginia in 1820. Any help
appreciated.

My great-grandfather went by the name of Trice, but he was
actually
a "Reeder". James Franklin Trice, son of Phebe (Tipton)
Trice (b.1824) and
Frank Reeder, was born in Knoxville, TN, but lived in or
around Rockford
and Maryville, Blount County,TN while growing up. Phebe's
husband,
James Trice, had died in 1848, and Phebe began a
relationship with a
Frank Reeder at least as early February 1851. Phebe Trice
and Frank
Reeder planned to marry, but Frank died of pneumonia before
the marriage
could take place. Their son, James Franklin Trice (actually
"Reeder") was
born 6 November 1851, after Frank Reeder died.
