Jim Rader's Web site www.rader.org |

How to use this site effectively ! Usually one does not know that there are many, unrelated, immigrants with names like Rader, Roeder, Reeder, Etc. Or another surprise to some is that their last name has not been spelled consistently. There are helps on this site to help you through those problems. FIRST In the "who's in my file" I recommend that you look up your ancestor by his or her first name. If you find them there note the volume and page number. Then go to the table of contents for that book. figure out which chapter he is in. The person for whom the chapter is named is your immigrant ancestor. SECOND Use the whole site search engine. You can search for any word; the town they lived in, the unusual name, etc. THIRD Go to the ancestry section in the free services. If that immigrant's line is there you can check in detail. These files do not include all of the information that I have. The books and CD-ROMS have more space so that I can include all of the information which I have |
