I have read carefully Gerot Rotter text . His research and Angelas Drechsler research relates only to the land of Moravia, Silesia but a German part and the Czech Republic part.

I have check a database for State Archives in Opole and Wrocław and there is 325 archival units from 1358-1750. Each units contains from one to three books . I take under consideration only a metrical books, land and tax register records.

State Archive in Opole: 152 units for: Paczków, Brzeg, Lewin Brzeski, Byczyna, Wierzbica Górna , Biskupów, Wierzbnik, Głuchołazy, Otmuchów, Grotków, Głogówek , Niemodlin, Namysłów and Opole

State Archive in Wrocław: 175 units for : Duchy of Brieg, Glogau, Liegnitz, Neisse, Oels, Opplen-Ratibor, Grafschaft Glatz and Wrocław.

Even if I do two books per hour ( sometimes it is 656 pages) it means about 350 hours of archival work with travelling to Opole and with reports and copies it will take two months time to complete . If I want to charge you $20 a normal price it would be $7000 + travel expenses. But because this is really big project I think that the best is to ask you about your budget.

Maybe a good solution is to pay me a monthly wages. What do you think about it? . How much you can pay me?

2. I have checked archival data for Sauerwitz, Leobschutz, Löwitz, Poßnitz and Hannerwitz. All archival documents, [12 books:7 metrical books from catholic parishes and 5 metrical books from evangelical parishes from 1627 till 1750 ] for those are in State Archive in Opole. Opole is 100 km from Wrocław

I have found only those metrical books for Głubczyce: birth records from 1634-1679;

and death records from 1749-1777. All books are in really bad condition and some books were hard to read because of a faded ink All metrical books from evangelical parish and Jewish shuttle in Głubczyce from years before 1803 were lost during World War II. Under the Lichtenstein supremacy from 1650 the Lutherans had to accept Roman Catholic faith or lived. Most of them decided to emigrate. After1742. Lutherans appeared in the city history after 1742.

I found 15 people under the name of Rotter and Rother.

In the three metrical books from Niemcza 1569-1750 I have found fifteen persons under the name of Rotter, three persons under the name of Rotterman and one person under the name Roder.

During my work with metrical books from Niemcza I have not found any surnames like Roetter, Rader or Rother.

Adelsdorf/ Zagrodno is a village in Złotoryja County, in south western Poland. About 83 miles from Głubczyce.

I have not found in metrical books (baptisms) for Adelsdorf 1701- 1733 any people under the name of Rotter, Roder, Rader etc.

The same result in death register for Zagrodno 1701-1745.

Goldberg/ Złotoryja is a town in Lower Silesia Voivodeship in southwestern Poland.

I have not found in metrical books (baptisms) for Goldberg 1724-1765 any people under the name of Rotter, Roder, Rader etc.

I have search in two metrical books 1708-1738 (baptisms) and 1739- 1766(babtisms)

I found three persons under the name of Roder and Rutter

Bankau/Bąków. About 50 miles from Głubczyce.

I have search in two metrical books from 1680 till 1764.

From the records for Bankau village looks like 85% citizen were polish origin.

I did not find any surnames like Rotter, Roetter, Rader, etc. It was quite a lot of records under the name of Rokot, Rokocik and Rador.

2. Samuel Conrad Rother (fifty seven years old) died 3 July 1766.

Those metrical books which I checked are the oldest evangelical metrical books for the Lower Silesia Voivodeship in State Archives in Wrocław. Many books were destroyed during and after World War II . The research can be also done in catholic metrical books and tax register books.
