Each of these CDs contains an index to the U.S. census for the area and time period indicated by the title. A census enumeration generally counts the area's inhabitants and collects information such as:
  • name   • age   • citizenship status   • ethnic background

Additional information, such as the names, ages, and birthplaces of the other individuals in the household, may be available depending on what data was collected by the census taker.
