General Notes: Inge Poppe committed suicide in 1956 by jumping off the Stuttgart's City Tower. She was to marry an American soldier named Crosby out of Florida and her family either forbade it or were against the marriage. Her mother was good friends with my mother Paula [Poppe] Tixel. I remember her from our trip in 1936. She and I played together as young children and I considered her my good friend. After the war we corresponded intermitently

Else next married Gerhard Pflüger in Oct 1943. Gerhard was born on 15 Dec 1905 in Hillersdorf, Austria and died on 4 Apr 1982 in Stuttgart, Germany at age 76.
