Grow tall, stately Delphiniums in
every shade you've dreamed of with this spectacular mix! The Pacific Giants
series is renowned for its large (3-inch!) blooms, fully 95% of which will be
double and 100% of which will bloom luxuriantly on robust, mildew-resistant
plants. Reaching 4 to 5 feet tall, these stately plants are perfect for the
back of the border or for an imposing display in the bed or against a wall.
You'll enjoy the symmetry of these big, floppy, richly-colored blooms, which
sport a bright white bee and open from the bottom up, so that a single stalk is
in bloom for several weeks!
This Delphinium
will bloom late in the season its first year, then on schedule thereafter. It
does best in full sun or, in warmer climates, partial shade. Once the plant is
established, shear it back almost to the ground right after flowering to
encourage a second bloom in fall. Delphinium also appreciates a year-round mulch.
